I bought this snack for $1.00 at Giant Foods.  The initial taste was too buttery. With that said it was something I wasn't able to stop eating.  Will buy again.

Weekend Science Experiment: Snot

Jack has decided he would like to be a scientist when he grows up, so like any other supportive mother I have decided to do at home science experiments together.  This experiment started easily enough by boiling water.  Luckily I already had the supplies on hand so little preparation and forethought were required.  After we added the gelatin and corn syrup, I wasn't sure what to do next.  The gelatin created lumps that wouldn't mix into the syrup.  Jack stirred the mixture with a spoon for less than a minute and then walked away.  He did ask is next time we could make a different concoction.

Huggies Little Movers Slip-on Diapers

Max and I tested the slip on diapers from Huggies size three.  I didn't find that they were any easier to put on.  We tried both in the lying down and standing postions.  The back of the diaper does not go high enough and leaks occur.  They are easy to remove and you can reseal them if a change is not needed.  They did not cause a rash which is a plus for our family's delicate skin. 

 I don't think we will try this diaper again until he is bigger.

Consumer Says Mission

I feel that it is time for me to use the internet as the social tool that it is now intended for.  Additionally, I would like to use my power as a consumer in today's difficult economy to make change.  These two factors added together have lead me to this blog.  My plan is to comment on the everyday products my family of 4 uses to create an online discussion of what works, what is worth the money, what saves time, and what is convient.
